What does the feast of the Ascension mean to you?
It needs to mean a lot to us because it means Jesus, as a human being, and as God’s Son is now with God our Father. That gives us great hope and joy that we too can be with God when our time to go to eternity happens.
Ascension also means something else. Jesus has “handballed” his three jobs to us. His three jobs were Rescuer, Teacher and Healer.
Because we have the gift of faith, we can help people who need to be rescued or freed from in their lives.
Because we have the gift of Faith, we can teach others about our faith.
Because we have the gift of faith, we can help heal people from what ails them.
The job of Jesus is now ours.
The Holy Spirit will help us do this.
