Happy Easter, everyone. At church we hear the tw words, ‘Paschal Mystery’ but do not know what they mean, nor do we ask to discover their incredible treasure.
It was created by St. Augustine of the 4th century. It was his summary way to describe the passion, death, deadness and resurrection of Jesus that we celebrate each year at Easter.
I explain the meaning of the Paschal Mystery’s two words in these five words: GOOD COMES OUT OF BAD. Our Resurrections come out of crucifixions. We emerge better people out of every one of our crucifixions.
When we look back over our personal life story, you will discern that Good comes out of Bad as a profound spiritual truth.
Not only is Good coming out of bad a profound spiritual truth, it also gives us incredible hope that is the central Theological Virtue of Faith, Hope and Love.
This year is the Year of Prayer where we are preparing for 2025, the second Jubilee Year of the Third Millennium where we are each called to be pilgrims of hope for each other on the pilgrim journey of life.
Yours, in Jesus and the Holy Spirit on our journey to our Father
