Gracious Gift: Good shepherd Sunday

Dear All

It is very spiritually comforting to know Jesus is there to support us in our daily lives.

Jesus said these words in the context of healing a man from blindness who had been blind from birth.

Jesus sheperded him from darkness to light. He can shepherd us in the same way.

Our priests are meant to shepherd us in the place of Jesus. But priests are becoming fewer. They are becoming older. Seminaries have less men in them than before. Men young in heart are not giving themselves to the Lord as they once did.

Our Australian church is going to evolve because of the shortage of priests. Parish life will evolve. The few priests there are will be asked to do more.

It’s all hands to the wheel if we seek to be who we are called to be by the Lord.

Please pray for men young in heart to be generous with their lives.

Take care

Fr. Patrick

Sydney in Our Hearts Healing After Violence

The recent stabbings in Sydney have left a heavy weight on all of us. We are not accustomed to these events in Australia and these senseless acts of violence strike a deep chord, reminding us of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing our loved ones.
